University of Florida Wrestling Team

The University of Florida Wrestling Team had its first competition this past weekend at Grauson High School in Loganville, Georgia. This was a very competitive tournament and was a great preseason event. One of the Gators, Zachary Boucher, finished third in the tournament in the 197 pound weight class. Mike Lovette also has a strong performance at the tournament, pinning a UCF wrestler in the second period. The Gators will compete next at the Bear Invitational in Georgia on October 30.

The University of Florida will begin their season by competing at the Gorilla Open in Longville, Georgia. The team is currently practicing Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6-8 pm in the southwest recreation gymnasium avtivity room. Anybody interested in coming out to practice please feel free, as everybody is welcome. Let's start this season strong!
